La Tremblade

Our favorite spots

Fall under the spell of the oyster port of La Grave and its typical and colourful huts. Stop to taste the "MarennesOléron" oysters. In summer, the sea festival is a must: traditional boats, oyster opening competition, giant hatchlings and fireworks. On Saturday mornings, stroll through the traditional market. Enter under the covered market, the fish market will awaken your taste buds. Extend your discovery and board the Train des Mouettes which takes you through the marshes of La Seudre.

The Chay Beach

Culture, sport or idleness ?

For the beach there is of course the Grande Conche, which stretches over 2 km in front of the Seakub_ There are also 6 other Conches: Foncillon, Pigeonnier, Pontaillac... Our favourite is the Chay beach. Surrounded by rocks, it is the most intimate of Royan's beaches and has been awarded the Blue Flag.

The Royan Museum

Located in the old Pontaillac market, it presents the history of the town from antiquity to the 1950s. Well documented, very visual, you will know everything about the many twists and turns of Royan.
